Melania Trump (born Melanija Knavs on April 26, 1970) is a Slovenian former model and businesswoman and the current first lady of the United States, as the wife of the 45th president of the United States Donald Trump.
Melanija Knavs was born in Novo Mesto, and grew up in Sevnica, in the Yugoslav republic of Slovenia. She worked as a fashion model through agencies in Milan and Paris, and moved to New York City in 1996.
